We acquired this 1895 victorian building. It was in a growing area of Oakland Ca. The Valdez plan that was enacted in 2014 had begun to materialize as the old auto row near by had now been converted to Class A multi family buildings attracting high income tech employees to the area.

This phenomenon was only exacerbated by the work from home policy introduced in 2020 as a result of Covid. We took advantage of this tailwind, delivered our value add package, and exited at the market top in 2022 for an 18 month hold resulting in a 41% IRR.

Today the building is occupied by incredibly grateful tenants who now enjoy a new sense of home.
